Rapid City, SD — April 7, 2025 — National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (NPSTW), observed April 13–19, recognizes the critical work of 911 professionals who are the first to respond in emergencies. This annual event honors their dedication, skill, and calm under pressure as they provide life-saving support and coordinate emergency services.

Pennington County Emergency Services Communications Center (ESCC) proudly serves as the 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point for Rapid City, Pennington County, and surrounding areas. Since 2001, the ESCC has been recognized as an Accredited Center of Excellence in Emergency Medical Dispatch.
