RAPID CITY, S.D. — Country star Parker McCollum is bringing his high-energy tour to The Summit Arena at The Monument on Friday, October 17, 2025, marking one of the final stops of his nationwide run.
“It’s been a while since we’ve been up there,” McCollum said. “I’m excited in two different ways. It’s the second to last night of the tour, so we get to go out and crush it all weekend and finish strong.”
McCollum, known for chart-topping hits like Handle on You and Pretty Heart, told The Roadhouse Show he remembers Rapid City as one of those “bookmark” cities that stayed on his mind while planning tour stops. “There are some places that just stick out, and Rapid City was one of them,” he said. “Whenever we can go back there, I want to go back.”
The Texas native, who recently became a father, says the new role has changed him in every way except musically, at least for now. “It’s revolutionized the way I think and go about my day,” he said. “My whole life, I’ve wondered why we’re here. Then I had a son and thought, ‘Oh, that’s why we’re here.’”
When asked about his success, McCollum laughed off being called “the most handsome man in music” and opened up about the challenges of staying grounded as his career grows. “There’s always a revolving door of people in the industry,” he said. “You’re constantly building new relationships, and that can be tough. But if that’s the hardest part, I’m doing pretty good.”
As for what fans can expect in Rapid City, McCollum says the crew is going “full throttle” for every show leading up to the finale. “We’re going to go out with a big smile on our faces, knowing we left everything on the stage.”
