HOT SPRINGS, S.D. – A Piper PA-25 Pawnee, N8186K, crashed under unknown circumstances while towing a Schweizer SGS 1-26 glider (N63CG) near Hot Springs Municipal Airport (KHSR), South Dakota, according to Fall River County officials and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
The Hot Springs Volunteer Fire Department, that responded to the incident just north of the Hot Springs airport, say the crash resulted in the death of one person and another being injured.
The NTSB was scheduled to arrive at the scene Sunday to begin an investigation into the cause of the crash.
