Wayne Allen Lindbloom’s sweet soul was called home on May 13th, 2025. Although his time here on earth was done, we will be forever grateful for every moment we were blessed to share with him. Wayne was gentle, kind, and very loved – we will miss him dearly.
Wayne was born on August 23rd, 1971 in Pierre, SD to his parents, Gary and Jane. He spent most of his life living in Pierre and attended Riggs High School. Pierre is where Wayne’s heart lived, as this is where he enjoyed his time with his three children, Kolt, Elizabeth, and Sydney; their mother, Melanie; and his grandchildren. Wayne loved his family dearly and cherished every moment he spent with them.
In 2019, Wayne moved to New Underwood, SD and made many new friends, though his most special friend of all was his mother, Jane.
Wayne loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with the people he loved. When the weather was right, you could find him fishing on the river – he was very proud of his trophy pike! Wayne also enjoyed western movies, fried chicken and a cold PBR or two.
Wayne waits in Heaven for his two children, Elizabeth and Kolt; their mother, Melanie; his grandchildren D’Angelo, Louise, Timothy, Kimmi and Kaveli; his beloved mother Jane and his step-father Ed Smith; sisters, Angela (David) Beck; Thea (Aaron) Holt; aunts, Barb Lindbloom, Mary (Chet) Morben, and Gloria Cudmore; uncle, Charles (Mary) Peters, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
Wayne was welcomed into Heaven by his beautiful daughter Sydney; his dad, Gary; his brother, John; grandparents, Norma & Ralph Peters and Bernice & Norman Lindbloom; his uncles, Dennis Lindbloom, Ken Peters, Art Peters; and cousin, Chip Lindbloom.
