Roscoe (Ross) was born June 11, 1932 at Leith, ND to Roscoe G. and Florence (Bossingham) Clark. He was raised and educated in the Leith and Carson, ND area.
In 1952 until 1954, he served in the Army during the Korean War. He married in 1953 and had two children by that marriage.
In 1980, Roscoe married Bonnie Chapman and they resided in their Pleasant Valley home until moving to Sturgis in 2014. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, member of the Methodists Men’s group, life member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of the American Legion of Sturgis. Roscoe worked at the Homestake Mine in Lead from 1955 until 1964. He attended barber college in Sioux Falls and barbered in Rapid City and Lead until coming to Ft. Meade in 1972. He barbered there until 1977, transferring to Building Management until his retirement in 1992.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Denise (Richard) Deaver; son, Dennis Clark; two step-children, Donna Rae Eixenberger and Dan (Lynelle) Chapman; grandchildren, Julie (Marty) Plaggemeyer, Cody (Staci) Skinner, Samantha Jo (Nate) Oviatt, Danilee (Shawn) Pudwill and Caleb (Sara) Chapman; two sisters, Maxine Culver and Carol Jenkins; sister-in-law, Adela; 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gordon and Ray, sisters Edie Clark and Ardith Johnson, brothers-in-law Bobby Johnson, Charles Culver and Charles Jenkins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at the Sturgis United Methodist Church beginning 11:00 am. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service with burial to follow at Black Hills National Cemetery at 12:30 pm.
