Rebecca “Becky” Freeman-Krebs of Vermillion, South Dakota, died on Saturday, February 8, 2025 in Vermillion at the age of 46.

A come and go visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, at the Rush Funeral Home in Philip.

Arrangements are with Rush Funeral Home of Philip.

Becca was known to her friends and family to have a zest for life and for loving what she did every day. She especially loved helping those who were in need, right alongside her husband, Mark, whenever she was able to. Whether it was to donate clothes or other essential items to those people who were in need, Becca was always right there and willing to help to the best of her ability.

Over the past several years, Becca had become ill and was battling many different medical challenges throughout her life, but despite the daily pain and suffering which she was enduring, she always had a smile on her face which could light up a room whenever she walked in. Through all the pain and suffering which she endured throughout the years, even before Mark met her, she still had a smile on her face.

She was an important part of Mark’s small business in Vermillion as well, 72 and Sunny Travel, where she was learning everything there was to know about how to find the best travel deals for their clients. She was also a marketing whiz and created most of the marketing posts for the business, marking her a very important part of the business which, with her loss, will be felt by many.

Becca is now at peace though and has reunited with her mom and sister in heaven and is finally out of all the pain and suffering which she had endured for many years. Her spirit and soul will always remain with us every day, and we know that she is always looking out for the people she loved and cared about and will protect them while watching down from heaven.

Rest in peace, Becca, and let your soul fly free now from all the pain and suffering which you endured in your life. You will always be loved and missed, and you will never be forgotten!

She is survived by her husband, Mark Douglass Krebs, and son, Brett Anthony Freeman, both of Vermillion, SD, her father, Claude Jesse Freeman, of Kadoka, SD and Jolene Marie Marshall, of Custer, SD. She is also survived by her parent-in-laws, Mark and Melville Krebs, of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Christopher Nielson Krebs, of Jacksonville, Florida, stepsons, Christian William Krebs and Blake James Krebs, both of Sioux Falls, SD, along with many extended family members.

Becca was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Gail “Patsy” Freeman on March 11, 2014, and sister, Claudette Jean “CJ” Hoag, on June 14, 2011, both of Philip, SD.
