Heather Lynne Clifton lost her life June 18th as the result of a motorcycle accident in the Black Hills of South Dakota. She was born at Martin Luther Hospital in Anaheim, California on March 22, 1965, to Richard and Sharon Clifton. Her education began at Olivewood Elementary in El Toro, CA. In 1972 her family moved to Greeley, CO. where she attended Jackson Elementary, John Evans Middle School, Greeley West High School, and AIMS Community College where she graduated with a degree in business. She then attended PIMA Medical Institute for her certification as a phlebotomist. Her career at Poudre Valley Health Systems, later UC Health, continued for 32 years. She married the love of her life, Russell DeBrock, twice, and they built a home in Wellington, CO. From that union a daughter, Josephine Lee DeBrock, was born in 1987.
In 2022, Heather sold her home in Loveland and retired to Newcastle, WY and spent the next 2 1/2 years remodeling her home. A multi-talented woman, Heather had a CDL license, was a certified flight instructor, and found joy in riding her 2015 Wide Glide Harley named “Pearl” throughout the United States.
Heather is survived by her parents Richard and Sharon Clifton of Centennial, WY, her daughter and son-in-law Josephine and Jefferey Bjorklund of Loveland, CO, her sister Jessica Clifton of Loveland, CO, numerous friends and family, and her beloved dog Tianna.
Her love of life, welcoming and warm personality, and her soothing hugs will be sorely missed!
A Celebration of Life will be held at Loveland Aleworks located at 118 W. 4th Street, Loveland, CO 80537 on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 4pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Heather.
