Eileen Fitzgerald, age 97, of Philip, South Dakota, died on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the Kadoka Nursing Home.
Survivors include her children, David Fitzgerald of Philip, Dean (Janice) Fitzgerald of Long Valley, and Carla (Michael) DeLeon of Rapid City; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Fitzgerald of Philip; brother, Arlie (Tari) Nelson of New Castle, WY; sister-in-law Sharon Nelson of Bismark, ND; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Fitzgerald on Febuary 16, 2007; her son, Greg Fitzgerald; her parents; her brother, LeRoy Nelson; and her sister Kathryn Dragaset.
Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, February 23, at Rush Funeral Home in Philip.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 24, at the United Church in Philip with Pastor Kathy Chesney officiating.
Private interment will be held at the Milesville Cemetery.
