Bonnie Jean Moses was born April 5, 1960, to Gay L. and Annabel E. Moses. Bonnie graduated from Philip High School in 1978 and during her high school years she was active in basketball and track. Bonnie attended Denver Institute of Art in Denver, Colorado. Bonnie graduated from Black Hills Beauty College in 1986 upon graduation she opened her salon in Philip, South Dakota. Bonnie moved to Nebraska in 1995 where she worked at Champion Homes and made many of her lifelong friends in Nebraska. There Bonnie met Dave Manwarren who became her lifelong partner. Bonnie moved to Exeter and opened her salon in Exeter which she operated until her retirement due to illness.

Bonnie took great pride in her beautiful flowers, ornaments and wind chimes in her yard. Bonnie was extremely creative, she made and provided wreaths for each season for the grocery store in Exeter. She made many wreaths for her family and friends. Bonnie enjoyed crafting, going to garage sales, shopping, camping, and fishing.

Bonnie fought a courageous journey, and she received a bone marrow transplant. Bonnie was grateful her brother Joe was a match. After the transplant she was blessed to have two of the best caregivers: her sister Julie and brother Don who both spent 100 days in the hospital home away from home apartment with her. Bonnie was in remission for 10 years. In 2021 Bonnie and Joe made their way to UNMC where together they did a stem cell infusion. Bonnie started treatments again with her chauffeurs at her side Don, Carolyn, Mandie, and Shelley.

Bonnie’s body grew tired, and the chemotherapy was no longer working. She spent her last days at home surrounded by family and friends.

Through everything Bonnie always had her sense of humor. She was a provider and comforter, often times she worried about everyone else before worrying about herself.
