Anthony “Tony” Grenstiner, born on March 26, 1955 in Deadwood, SD passed away on October 5, 2025 in Rapid City, SD. He was 70 years old.
Tony was a proud graduate of Sturgis Brown High School. His passion for mechanics and design led him to pursue further education at an automotive school in Arizona and later drafting in Montana. These skills would shape much of his life and interests.
A true enthusiast of classic automobiles, Tony had a deep love for old school hot rods. He became a familiar presence at car shows and swap meets. He was often seen driving his 1960 Chevy Biscayne. In addition to his passion for cars, he spent countless hours searching and collection Indian arrowheads.
He is remembered with love by his brothers, Eric (Samantha) Grenstiner of Sturgis, SD and Mark (Dawn) Grenstiner of Deadwood, SD; sister, Marcella (Randy) Westendorf of Deadwood, SD as well as many nieces and nephews.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Virginia Grenstiner as well as sister, Kay Remington.
A graveside memorial will be held at Oakridge Cemetery in Boulder Canyon (Hwy 14A) at 12:30pm on October 18, 2025. A luncheon will follow the VFW in Deadwood, SD at 1:00pm.
