Rapid City, S.D. – After 13 weeks of training in the Rapid City Fire Department’s Fire Academy, eight recruits are set to graduate on April 25, 2025.
The newest RCFD recruits will take part in a graduation run on April 25th starting at 9 a.m. The run will begin at Fire Station 1, go down Main Street, across 7th Street and back to Station 1 on St. Joseph Street.
These eight recruits were hired to help with the growing community, as well as to help fill vacancies by those who have left the job and those who have retired.
The graduation run is a way for the Department to show off their new recruits to the public, so they have an idea of who will be helping them if they are in need.
The public is encouraged to attend and cheer on the newest members of Rapid City’s Bravest.
