RAPID CITY, S.D. — The 2nd Annual Nemo Lumberjack Day is set to return Saturday, June 28, at the Nemo Guest Ranch and The Branding Iron in Nemo, South Dakota. The event, starting at 11 a.m., will serve as a fundraiser for the Nemo Volunteer Fire Department.
The family-friendly event will feature a variety of lumberjack-themed activities, including axe throwing hosted by Axe It Out, a dunk tank, and a crosscut saw competition. Children can participate in the Lil’ Firemen’s Dash.
A silent auction will be held, featuring items donated by local businesses. The event will also host a Fireman Water Ball Competition, with regional fire departments invited to compete for a traveling trophy.
Live music will be provided by Noise in the Barn, and food and drinks will be available at The Branding Iron throughout the day.
Nemo Lumberjack Day aims to combine community entertainment with support for the local fire department in the Black Hills.
