Box Elder came alive on May 3 as the Mountain West Fiesta Fest transformed The Box Event Center into a vibrant celebration of food, culture, and action-packed entertainment. Locals and visitors alike gathered to enjoy the festival’s lively atmosphere, highlighted by mouth watering food, crowd-thrilling wrestling, and heartfelt community spirit.
A major highlight of the event was the impressive tequila showcase, featuring over 100 different varieties to sample. From sleek designer bottles to the smoothest high-end agave spirits, the tequila tasting offered something for every palate—whether you were a seasoned connoisseur or simply curious. It was a true toast to Mexican heritage, enjoyed sip by sip.
Food lovers were also in paradise with an irresistible lineup of Mexican street eats. From sizzling street tacos to sweet horchata bites, crisp sopapillas, tangy salsas, and creamy esquites, every corner of the venue buzzed with bold flavors and satisfied smiles. Attendees lined up eagerly at food stalls, sampling the authentic and inventive fare that kept the party going well into the evening.
But the excitement didn’t stop at the food and drink. The ring was set for high-flying action as Primos Premier Wrestling out of Denver brought the heat with a Lucha Libre showdown that had fans on their feet. With masks, flips, and dramatic takedowns, the wrestling performances became an unforgettable centerpiece of the festival experience.
For many, it was more than just a day out—it was a celebration of culture and community. One festivalgoer summed it up best: “I love it here. I never want to leave here!”
If you missed this year’s Fiesta Fest, don’t worry—the event is set to return next year, with the exact date and time to be announced. Judging by this year’s success, it’s bound to be even bigger and better.
