Rapid City – May 28, 2025 – Midco is experiencing a service disruption affecting customers in Southern Rapid City. The outage, which began at approximately 2:36 p.m. MDT today, is impacting both internet and digital phone services for residents and businesses in the area. This outage is reported to affect 1,600+ residents.
Midco’s outage information, accessible via their website, states an estimated resolution time of 6:30 p.m. MDT for the affected services. The cause of the outage was not immediately specified by Midco.
Among those affected is The Golf Club at Red Rock which reported its internet and phone systems were down as early as 10:00am. It is unclear if the Golf Club’s earlier issues are related to the current Midco service disruption.
