STURGIS, S.D. – The Meade County Sheriff’s Office is again posting up reminders about dangerous speeding following an Easter weekend stop.

Sheriff Pat West says a deputy pulled over a motorist for going 110 mph on Haines Avenue Sunday.

West says such speeds on rural roads like Haines Avenue can be dangerous. The heavily traveled road that leads into Rapid City is slated for major reconstruction because it is in need of repairs.

The motorist received a ticket for his excessive speed.
