Four inductees have made ‘immeasurable contributions’ to Rapid City and Black Hills
RAPID CITY, SD—Rapid City Mayor Jason Salamun shared the following sentiments regarding this week’s announcement of the South Dakota Hall of Fame class of 2025, which includes four inductees who have made tremendous contributions to Rapid City and the Black Hills region: John Brockelsby, Dr. Valentine McGillycuddy, Dr. Mark Harlow and David Wayne Snyder.
“Each year, the South Dakota Hall of Fame class reads like a who’s who list of movers and shakers – people who have greatly influenced and impacted the state through immeasurable contributions to the development of our state.
“It’s certainly reflected in the inductees with ties to Rapid City. Dr. Valentine McGillicuddy, John Brockelsby, Dr. Mark Harlow and Dave Snyder have made immeasurable contributions to Rapid City and South Dakota. From the city’s founding, its development and growth, promoting our area to a worldwide audience, and improving the quality of life of our community’s citizens, this year’s Rapid City Hall of Fame inductees have left legacies impacting generations.
