RAPID CITY, S.D. – A Rapid City man charged with attempted murder in connection with a stabbing last month was arraigned in Seventh Circuit Court Tuesday.
Jacob Sharp, 31, is accused of stabbing the victim with a pitchfork.
Sharp has pleaded not guilty to attempted first degree murder as well as an alternate charge of aggravated assault.
Court documents indicate Sharp told police he stabbed the victim when he heard him breaking into the property where the incident occurred.
He faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted on the attempted murder charge.
Sharp is due back in court on July 1.
