STURGIS, S.D. – The Law Enforcement Appreciation Picnic held Sunday raised $33,000 for their non-profit under the Fraternal Order of Police.
Meade County Sheriff Pat West, who, along with his wife Cassie, helped organize this year.
West says numerous sponsors helped make the picnic a success and the money raised helps Meade County Cares.
West says they also auctioned off a set of custom sheriff’s spurs.
West says they were grateful to be able to host a good crowd of law enforcement officers and hopes to have another successful event next year.
