RAPID CITY, S.D. – Starting Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, electrical conduit repair will begin on Interstate 90 bridges at three locations in the Black Hills region of western South Dakota. The project will affect travel near Belle Fourche, Spearfish and Rapid City.
Lane closures are scheduled for both eastbound and westbound I-90 at exits 10 (Belle Fourche/Spearfish) and 14 (Spearfish). A 16-foot width restriction will be in place when the lane closures are active.
At exit 14, temporary stop signs will be installed on North 27th Street at night during reinstallation of wiring.
Work at exit 58 (Rapid City/Haines Avenue) will be done at night, and the intersection will be placed in a stop condition while repairs are underway.
Builders Electric, LLC, of Sioux Falls is the prime contractor on the $246,000 project. The expected completion date is Friday, Nov. 21, 2025.
