Joseph Hanson, age 24 of Nisland, died Wednesday, May 7, 2025 as a result of a tragic automobile accident.
The funeral service will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, May 22, 2025 at St. James Lutheran Church in Belle Fourche. Visitation will take place 5 to 7pm Wednesday at Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Interment will be held in the Nisland Cemetery. Joseph is survived by his parents, Michael and Michelle Hanson of Nisland; sister, Millie Hanson of Spearfish; brother, Darin Hanson of Nisland; paternal grandfather, Jim Hanson of Sturgis; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Beverly Gifford; paternal grandmother, Jan Hanson; and his uncle, Stuart Wetz.
