RAPID CITY, SD– A motor vehicle accident this morning involving a pickup truck and camper as high winds on Highway 79 caused a rollover of both.
The Pennington County Sheriff’s Department (via Facebook) advised “caution if you are driving a high-profile vehicle,” stating that the accident occurred near the mile 73 marker heading northbound. While information on the status of the driver is currently unavailable to the public, this serves as a reminder that larger freight vehicles are not the only ones at risk in high wind environments.
