The Post 22 Hardhats 2025 delivered a full day of baseball on Thursday, sweeping an away doubleheader with two impressive wins. They opened the day with a 11–9 victory over the Victus Recruits 16U, then followed it up with a 12–0 win against Lightning Baseball 18U.

Game One: Hardhats Outlast Victus 11–9

The first game of the doubleheader was tense. Post 22 built a comfortable lead thanks to RBI hits from Wyatt Reeder, Jace Morgan, Blayn Hunt, and Aiden Roberts, plus a no-doubt three-run homer by Kain McLeod.

The Recruits stormed back with a flurry of offense, including RBI singles, a hit-by-pitch, and a clutch double that cut the Hardhats’ lead to just two. But the home team held strong behind steady bullpen work and aggressive base running.

Post 22 finished the game with only seven hits but drew eight walks and swiped 10 bases, with multiple steals from Lars Kieffer, Dexter Steen, and Wyatt Reeder, who also reached base three times. The pitching staff, led by starter Ryan Neugebauer and relievers Skyler Montgomery, Morgan, and Luke Hanzlik, did just enough to close it out.

“Victus really swung the bats well and made it a stressful game,” said coach Kelvin Tore. “We used a little more pitching than we hoped, but our guys stayed patient at the plate and aggressive on the bases. That helped us get the win against a very tough travel team.”

Game Two: Jadon Moreno Tosses No-Hitter in 12–0 Shutout Against Lightning Baseball 18U

The second game was all about Jadon Moreno. The right-hander was electric, throwing his second no-hitter of the season, striking out 11 batters in five innings, and walking just three.

“He came out just throwing strikes, throwing the ball hard,” said Tore. “When you have a pitcher throwing a no-hitter, good things often result.”

Moreno’s pitching was backed up by a relentless offense. Reeder stayed hot, going 3-for-3 with a double and two singles. Morgan added three hits and an RBI. Roberts knocked in three more runs, while Blayn Hunt wreaked havoc on the basepaths with four stolen bases.

The Hardhats piled up 10 hits, six walks, and seven stolen bases, showing off the same discipline and aggressive mentality that fueled their Game One win. To top it off, they played error-free defense, with Brody Thompson leading the way with 12 defensive chances.
