RAPID CITY, S.D. — A Rapid City man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a reported gunshot earlier this week.
Police were dispatched to the 300 block of E. North Street at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Monday after a report of a single gunshot. Responding officers located a shell casing in the vicinity of Milwaukee Street and E. Watertown Street. Authorities reported no injuries or property damage.
Further investigation led police to video footage from the area at the time of the incident. This video helped identify the suspect as 27-year-old Wakinyan Dreamer of Rapid City.
On Tuesday at around 4:25 p.m., officers located Dreamer in the 200 block of E. Nevada Street. He was taken into custody without incident and subsequently arrested for Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Former Violent Offender.
Dreamer was transported to the Pennington County Jail and booked at 4:57pm. He is scheduled to appear in court today at 10 a.m.
