Gunshots Reported on Signal Drive

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Police are investigating after gunshots were reported late Tuesday in a neighborhood in Rapid City, South Dakota. Authorities were dispatched around 10:20 p.m. on September 24 to the 100 block of Signal Drive following reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, officers located damage to two residences, with a single bullet hole found in a window of each home. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Witnesses were interviewed and physical evidence was collected at the scene. The case has been forwarded to the Rapid City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.

Police are asking anyone with information about the person or persons responsible to contact investigations at 605-394-4134. Anonymous tips can also be sent by texting the letters ‘RCPD’ and the information to 847411.

The neighborhood will receive increased police patrols, and police are working with property management to address safety concerns in the Rapid City area.
