PIERRE, S.D. โ€“ Nikki Gronli is going to run for South Dakotaโ€™s lone U.S. House seat.

Gronli, who served as the stateโ€™s Rural Development Director under the Biden administration, joins Billy Mawheney as the two Democrats in the race.

She says her decision comes after months of town halls across the state, where she heard concerns about healthcare, veteransโ€™ services, and tariffs.

Gronli will officially announce her campaign tomorrow, while Republicans like Casey Crabtree and Attorney General Marty Jackley are already pushing back, tying her to Bidenโ€™s policies.

Jackley is hosting a kick-off party tonight for his congressional campaign tonight in his hometown of Sturgis.
