RAPID CITY, S.D. – A former Douglas School District employee has been sentenced to federal prison after admitting to enticement of a minor.

29-year-old Duncan Witt admits sending hundreds of sexually explicit pictures, videos and messages to a special education student on Snapchat.

In the factual basis statement in the case, Witt admitted to having sexually explicit conversations starting no later than early February 2024 with one of her students who, at the time, was under the age of 18.

In exchange for her guilty plea, child pornography charges were dismissed.

Monday a judge sentenced Witt to 10-years behind bars. She will also have to serve five years of supervised release.
