RAPID CITY, S.D. – Great Plains Fire Dispatch reported a couple of wildfires Monday.
The Terca Fire was reported 6 miles southwest of Presho in Lyman County. The fire charred approximately 72.8 acres of private grassland as of last report.
Federal and local resources were battling the blaze. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
Earlier in the day Monday, the Bear Dog Fire was reported in the Nebraska panhandle.
The fire burned approximately 12 acres of private land and was fought by federal, state and local resources.
The human caused fire was listed as contained as of Tuesday.
