RAPID CITY, S.D. – Downtown Rapid City is gearing up for one of its most beloved traditions as the 15th Annual BierBorse takes over Main Street Square this Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
The event officially begins at 1 p.m., but early tastings start at noon, giving beer lovers a head start on sampling more than 50 unique brews from over 25 breweries. Attendees can enjoy an afternoon filled with local flavor, live energy, and fun challenges designed to keep the good times flowing.
One of the highlights of the day is the Beer Exchange, where prices fluctuate on a large screen just like the stock market. The most popular beers climb as high as eight dollars, while less-demanded brews can drop to just three. Guests often gather around the screen, waiting for the right moment to snag their favorite pour at the best price.
Other crowd favorites include the stein-holding competition, which tests endurance as participants hold their mugs as long as possible, and this year’s newest addition a mechanical bull, free for attendees to ride.
“It’s such a cool event,” said organizer Pomai Lindenthal. “We’ve been doing this for years, and it just keeps getting better. It’s all about coming downtown, having fun, and celebrating our amazing community.”
Tickets can be purchased in advance through Downtown Rapid City’s Facebook page, or at the gate on the day of the event. Organizers encourage buying early as space may fill up.
BierBorse runs Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. at Main Street Square in downtown Rapid City.
