RAPID CITY, S.D. – A malfunctioning traffic signal at a major intersection caused traffic delays and required manual direction from law enforcement Thursday morning in Rapid City.
The Rapid City Police Department issued a motorist advisory after the traffic signals at the diverging diamond intersection of North Lacrosse Street and Interstate 90 stopped working correctly.
Officers and troopers from the South Dakota Highway Patrol were on site to direct traffic while the South Dakota Department of Transportation worked to fix the issue. Motorists were advised to find an alternate route to avoid the area.
