UNION CENTER, S.D. – As fall begins to beckon, there’s one last hurrah in the community of Union Center that welcomes hundreds of people to town for a good, old-fashioned get together.
The Annual Rancher Round-Up at Cammack Ranch Supply on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, is as much a social event as it is a time for ranchers and others to stock up on needed supplies before the weather changes … for good. Reed Cammack recalls the beginnings of the popular event.
There is something for all ages at the Rancher Round-Up. The Kids Rodeo gets underway at 9a.m. A Trade Show opens at 11a.m., free burgers and brats are on the grills and ice cream from the SDSU Dairy Bar, famous for its original flavors. A new event are Ranch Games, beginning at 2:30p.m.

From knowledgeable staff at the store to bouncy castles, to vendors and arena action, the 23rd Annual Rancher Roundup on Wed., August 13 brings neighbors, friends and yet-to-be friends together.
