Eugene E. Farnsworth, 78, Rapid City, SD passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital.
Funeral Services for Eugene will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 14 at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, with visitation one-hour prior to the service.

Eugene Elloite Farnsworth was born March 18, 1947 in Rapid City to Benjamin William and Loretta C. (Buchiem) Farnsworth. He was raised in Piedmont, where he attended school during his early years. He then completed his schooling at Sturgis High School, where he graduated in 1965.
Born with a passion for engines and craftmanship, Eugene committed his career to serving in the National Guard as a mechanic. Whether it was fixing a broken-down truck or restoring a classic car, he approached every project with dedication and precision, including his family. Extremely devoted to his grandchildren, whether that being a champion in the stands, lending a helping hand or passing down infinite wisdom, his loss will be sorely felt.
He is survived by his two children, Bobbi Jackson and Scott (Lyndsay) Farnsworth; his brothers, Robert (Tonya) Farnsworth and Darrell (Jewell) Farnsworth; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
