DEADWOOD, S.D. – The Deadwood Police Department is investigating the death of a local man who was initially reported missing on Sunday night.
Police reported 44-year-old Joshua Reisenauer missing on Sunday after he didn’t show up to his place of employment. He was last seen in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 13th near the Iron Horse Inn in Deadwood.
At Approximately 7:34 a.m. Monday, authorities were alerted to a deceased individual near the First Gold Hotel and Casino. Upon arrival, Deadwood Police confirmed the 44-year-old Reisenauer was the deceased male subject.
Police say he was found on a hillside between the First Gold Hotel and Casino and the neighboring Travelodge Hotel.
Deadwood Police say currently, this investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Deadwood Police Department.
