DEADWOOD, S.D. – Deadwood Fire Rescue was paged to the area of 50 Tatanka on Highway 85 for an accident with injuries Wednesday.
First arriving firefighters assisted medics with loading patients, assisting with traffic control, and neutralizing the electrical systems of both vehicles.
After all patients were transported a single lane traffic pattern was established by firefighters until SD Highway Patrol was on scene to investigate.
Firefighters cleaned up a significant debris and fluid field, and traffic was restored to normal at approximately 9pm.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is leading the investigation.
