STURGIS, S.D. – The Department of Transportation says Thursday traffic into Sturgis was heavy.
In their daily Rally Vehicle Count report, the D.O.T. recorded 54,697 vehicles entering Sturgis.
The is up 11.1-percent from the previous five-year average.
The D.O.T. is providing provide daily traffic counts at nine locations for vehicles entering Sturgis for the 85th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
The 2025 total to date is 425,875 vehicles, up 10.9-percent from the previous five-year average, which is 384,154.
The D.O.T. will continue to record their daily traffic counts through the final weekend of the Rally.
