CUSTER, S.D. – Area athletes participated in the Custer Invite Track and Field Meet Wednesday.
On the boys side, Lionel Hinson of Rapid City Christian was a double event winner, claiming both the 1,600 and 3,200 meter races.
The Douglas and Wall relay teams each won two races with the Patriots claiming the 4×100 and 4×800. Wall won the 4×200 and the 4×400.
On the girls side, Jayda Bennett of Custer won both the 100 meters and 200 meters and Ashlan Carlow of Mahpiya Luta won the 100 and 33 meter hurdles.
The Hot Springs relay team won two events for the Lady Bison, the 4×100 and the 4×200. Wall captured the 4×400 with Belle Fourche claiming the 4×800.
Karyn Ellerton of Custer was also a double event winner, taking the shot put and discus titles.
