WHITEWOOD, S.D. – I-90 westbound was closed at Whitewood early Thursday due to a semi-truck accident.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the truck was lying on its side blocking the westbound lane between mile marker 19 and 20. Westbound traffic was being diverted off the Interstate at Exit 23 in Whitewood.
The Interstate was re-opened once the truck was moved out of the road, however the patrol says there will be a lane closure for further recovery efforts.
Westbound travelers were being advised to utilize caution in the area as personnel would be working in the area.
