Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers couldn’t keep up with Madison/Chester Varsity 2025 and fell 8-2 on Saturday.

Carter Gregory drove in four runs on three hits to lead Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers past Madison/Chester Varsity 2025 12-2 on Saturday. Gregory doubled in the third scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, and hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth scoring one.

The bottom of the lineup was strong for Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers. Gregory, Asher Jackson, and Brody Pourier combined for seven of the team’s 12 hits in their victory. They scored two runs and drove in seven.

Tri-Valley Varsity Mustangs scored seven runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers 11-4 on Sunday.

Tri-Valley Varsity Mustangs got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Treyson Richter singled, scoring one run, Denton Bicknase drew a walk, scoring one run, Mason Hemme singled, scoring two runs, Gage Egger drew a walk, scoring one run, one run scored on another play, and Brody Dybvig grounded out, scoring one run.

A passed ball extended the Tri-Valley Varsity Mustangs lead to 8-3 in the bottom of the third inning.

Nathan Mailloux took the loss for Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers. The pitcher went three innings, allowing eight runs (six earned) on three hits, striking out five and walking seven. Landon Schenkel opened the game for Tri-Valley Varsity Mustangs. The righty gave up zero hits and zero runs over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking none.
