RAPID CITY, SD–The City of Rapid City will hold a public meeting open house Tuesday, October 28 regarding the Chapel Lane Bridge Replacement Project. The open house is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. in the Circle of Friends Community Room and Council Chambers of City Hall.

The session will present the improved Chapel Lane bridge design, the project’s objectives, and new project timeline to solicit public comment. The event will consist of a pre-recorded presentation and interactive activities. The presentation will be shown multiple times during the public meeting.

The goal of the public meeting open house is to share an update on project progress, provide the public an opportunity to speak with the design team and ask questions, and share information about future project development and timeline. This input will help the design team to document key community needs which may be addressed in design and to validate the timeline for future infrastructure projects associated with the Chapel Lane Bridge.

For further information regarding the study, contact Matthew Robinson with HDR Engineering, Inc. at matthew.robinson@hdrinc.com  or by phone at (605) 977-7772.

Written comments will be accepted at the public meeting open house and via email to matthew.robinson@hdrinc.com until Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025.
