Listening Session will discus housing and community development priorities

RAPID CITY, SD—The City’s Community Enrichment Division will host a public meeting to discuss housing and community development priorities. The meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Circle of Friends Community Room of City Hall.

City officials are seeking public comments and feedback on how Rapid City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds should be utilized.

“The meeting offers the public a chance to share their ideas on how CDBG funds should be used to address housing and community development needs within the Rapid City limits going forward,” said Michelle Schuelke, Manager of the Community Enrichment Division.

Schuelke noted that all feedback gathered during the public meeting will be considered in the development of the City’s Fiscal Year 2026 Annual Action Plan.

Anyone unable to attend the meeting can submit written comments by next Tuesday (June 17) to michelle.schuelke@rcgov.org or by mail to the Community Enrichment Division, City of Rapid City, 300 Sixth Street, Rapid City, SD 57701.
