DEADWOOD, S.D. – Get ready for a night of authentic country music as neo-traditional star Chancey Williams takes the stage at Outlaw Square in Deadwood this Saturday, June 14, for a free concert. The show, part of the annual Wild Bill Days celebration, kicks off at 8 PM with special guest Mark Joseph.

The concert also coincides with the release of Williams’s latest single, “Pearl Snap Preacher,” available today on all digital streaming platforms. The accompanying music video, featuring Williams’s own father, Dennis Williams, also dropped today, offering a personal look into the song’s inspiration.

“I think a lot of farmers and ranchers and people who come from rural areas will especially relate to ‘Pearl Snap Preacher’ and see the character in themselves or people they know,” Williams shared with Wide Open Country about the new track. The song, penned by Cody Robbins, Kayley Bishop, and Nick Deleo, paints a vivid picture of the spiritual connection found in the cowboy lifestyle, highlighting the “pastor in the pasture” who may not be in a church pew every Sunday but embodies faith in their daily life.

Williams also spoke about the heartwarming experience of creating the music video with his father. “We had a blast making the video for ‘Pearl Snap Preacher’,” he told Holler. “My dad is the star of it! He does go to church on a regular basis but, in other ways, is very much like the guy in the song. A lot of who I am as a person, I learned from watching my dad and working on the ranch with him, as much as listening to him or specifically what he said.”

“Pearl Snap Preacher” marks Williams’s fourth single release of 2025. Earlier this year, he released the humorous “Take One For The Team,” and the emotionally resonant “Miles On Me,” described by Fandom Daily as “a song that blends restless wanderlust with deep emotional weight.” His January release, “The Ballad of Uncle Don,” a compelling blend of family storytelling and country-rock, found significant success, reaching #1 on CMT’s 12 Pack series for five consecutive weeks.

A Cheyenne Frontier Days Hall of Fame inductee, Williams is set to return to the historic main stage of Cheyenne Frontier Days on July 23, performing before fellow Hall of Famers Brooks & Dunn. He is currently on his “Miles On Me Tour,” which continues through the end of July.

Don’t miss the chance to see Chancey Williams live and celebrate the release of “Pearl Snap Preacher” this Saturday night at Outlaw Square in Deadwood during Wild Bill Days.
