Champions crowned as State high school finals rodeo wraps up

FORT PIERRE, S.D. – The 2025 South Dakota High School Finals Rodeo wrapped up over the weekend as champions were crowned and cowboys and cowgirls punched tickets to the national finals coming up next month.

Taos Weborg won the bareback title, finishing with 84 points.

Wall’s Brooke Diedrichs won the barrel racing with 85 points with Arina Haugen of Sturgis coming in third place. Minda Woodward of Dupree was in second.

Adessa Haugen of Reliance won the breakaway roping with Jessica Caspers of New Underwood placing second.

Kylee Zancanella of Aurora won the pole bending with 72 points, just ahead of Arina Haugen of Sturgis with a 69.

Drew Harper of Faith and his partner Jet Jensen of Belle Fourche captured the team roping title and Drake Boomsma of Box Elder won the tiedown.
