Strong Hitting Not Enough As Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers Falls To Sturgis Brown Varsity Scoopers

Even though Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers collected eight hits to Sturgis Brown Varsity Scoopers’s six, they still fell 9-4 on Saturday. Ben Farnsworth led Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers with three hits.

Sturgis Brown Varsity Scoopers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Carter Williams singled, scoring two runs, #5 singled, scoring one run, and Carson Williams grounded out, scoring one run.

A play extended the Sturgis Brown Varsity Scoopers lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the second inning.

A single by #40, a walk by Brody Royer, and a single by Bridge Battin helped Sturgis Brown Varsity Scoopers extend their early lead in the third.

Tea Varsity Titans defeated Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers 11-2 on Sunday thanks in part to six runs in the second inning.

Tea Varsity Titans opened the scoring in the first after #2 singled, scoring one run.

Tea Varsity Titans extended their early lead with six runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI singles by #7, #20, #24, and #1.

Brody Pourier pitched three and one-third innings in relief for Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers. The reliever allowed one hit and four runs (two earned) while, striking out one and walking two. Tucker Jones started on the bump for Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers. The starting pitcher allowed eight hits and seven runs (four earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking two.

Tyler Henstein and Jones were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers while hitting back-to-back. Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers Claim Victory Over Douglas Varsity Patriots

Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers were victorious against Douglas Varsity Patriots 10-6 on Sunday.

Douglas Varsity Patriots were the first to get on the board in the first when Caleb Hauser singled, scoring one run.

Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on two hits to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Steven Solano that drove in two.

Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers added one run in the second after Tucker Jones singled to right field.

Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Nathan Mailloux singled to right field, Tyler Henstein grounded out, and Laken Uttecht singled to right field, each scoring one run.

Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers Hold Onto Victory As Belle Fourche Varsity Broncs Almost Erase 4-Run Deficit

Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers built a 4-run lead in the third inning and then held off Belle Fourche Varsity Broncs’s charge for a 5-4 victory on Monday. Belle Fourche Varsity Broncs closed the gap by scoring on an error, an error, and a single.

Rapid City Central Varsity Cobblers didn’t take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at four in the top of the seventh when Laken Uttecht singled, scoring one run.
