Rapid City, SD – On Friday afternoon at the Mother Butler Center in Rapid City, the Seventh Circuit CASA, that serves Rapid City, hosted an event to raise awareness about child abuse and connecting community members with vital resources. Held during Child Abuse Awareness Month, the event aimed to recognize the dedication of current staff and volunteers, share crucial resources, and inspire community involvement.
Those recognized were:
Near & Far (long distance advocacy)– Mary Haan & Elysia Hunter
Rising Star (new volunteers) – Stephen Siaz & Sara Hornick
Above & Beyond (special dedication)- Laura Piening
Mary Iron Cloud Award for Exceptional Volunteerism – Pat Jones
The event included live music by Tanner Johns, craft tables, a jumpy castle, informational booths, marching band, and giveaways.
