RAPID CITY, S.D. — There’s just something special about a morning at the Black Hills Farmers Market. Whether you’re out with family, meeting up with friends, or simply enjoying a peaceful solo stroll, it’s a great way to slow down, support local growers, and soak in the community atmosphere.
Located at Market Park on East Omaha Street, the market continues its Winter and Spring hours through the end of April — open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Starting in May, the market will shift into its busy summer season, adding more vendors and fresh seasonal goods.
And for those who just can’t get enough, the market will expand even further starting in July, adding Wednesday hours from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., giving shoppers even more opportunities to browse local produce, meats, baked goods, flowers, and handmade items.
The Black Hills Farmers Market isn’t just a place to shop — it’s an experience. It’s where kids pick out fresh-baked cookies, friends catch up over locally brewed coffee, and neighbors connect with the people who grow their food. It’s a perfect excuse to get outside, stretch your legs, and enjoy the vibrant spirit of the Black Hills community.
In addition to cash payments, the market accepts credit and debit cards, as well as SNAP benefits, making fresh and healthy food more accessible for everyone. Shoppers can also look forward to special events throughout the summer, like live music and cooking demonstrations.
