The Georgia Environmental Protection Division says that still hasn’t happened 16 months later. The mining company declined to comment Monday on the delay. Federal scientists have warned that miningnear the swamp could irreparably harm the environmentally sensitive area. But regulators say mining there should have minimal impacts.
