RAPID CITY, S.D. – As a way to extend a thank you to area ag producers, the 3rd Annual Ag Appreciation event is set for August 18, 2025 during the Central States Fair.
A group of sponsors partner in the event that offers a complimentary meal and an awards presentation along with an introduction of recipients at that night’s PRCA rodeo.
In addition, U.S. Congressmen John Thune and Dusty Johnson will be speaking.
Among the sponsors is Touchstone Energy Cooperatives of South Dakota. Matt Bruner, chief marketing officer and member services says is a perfect time to hold the event.
Special recognition to supporters of the ag industry and rural communities is a big part of the event. This year’s recipients are Touchstone Energy Cooperations of South Dakota, Rural Neighbor Award, Marty Hansen, Philip; Monument Health Rural Health Care Award, Bobbie Thuen, Belle Fourche, S.D., Central States Fair Rural Neighbor Award Tiff Robertson, Rapid City, S.D., and Elevate Agri-Business Award, Wall Meats, located in Wall, S.D., and Rapid City.
Along with remarks from Thune and Johnson, others have been invited to attend as well, including Governor Rhoden.
Ag Appreciation attendees will have access to free parking on the West side of the fairgrounds.
