This past Saturday, The Brass Rail marked a significant milestone by celebrating its 90th year of operation. The event drew an immense crowd, bringing together a diverse group of people to commemorate this historic occasion.
Located on Downtown St. Joseph St., The Brass Rail has been a beloved institution in Rapid City for nine decades, solidifying its position as the city’s oldest bar. To celebrate this momentous anniversary, the Downtown bar collaborated with the local brewery, Lost Cabin, to create a special “Brass Rail Ale,” which was released on the same night as the anniversary celebration.
The event itself was filled with excitement and nostalgia. Attendees enjoyed giveaways, limited edition t-shirts, and the opportunity to purchase PBRs for just 90 cents. The Schaumacher family, who has owned and operated the business for over 80 years, was present to share in the festivities and thank the community for their continued support.
