A Texas storyteller meets South Dakota grit in a powerhouse BHSS lineup FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2026.

Rapid City, SD – Central States Fair, Inc. is thrilled to announce that Texas-born singer, songwriter, and guitarist Tanner Usrey will headline the 2026 Black Hills Stock Show & Rodeo® concert on Friday, February 6, 2026 at the Central States Fairgounds in Rapid City, South Dakota. Opening the night is South Dakota’s own outlaw powerhouse, Kenny Feidler, bringing his raw, alt-country energy to the BHSS stage.

Known for pairing straight-shot storytelling with country grit, rock ’n’ roll edge, and Americana soul, Tanner Usrey channels a classic spirit through a deeply personal lens. Inspired by legends like George Strait, Tom Petty, and Lynyrd Skynyrd—and fueled by the modern fire of Whiskey Myers—Usrey first turned heads with his self-written Medicine Man EP in 2019.

His debut album Crossing Lines (Atlantic Records, 2023) launched him into national spotlight with standout songs “Beautiful Lies” (with Ella Langley) and “Take Me Home,” alongside tracks featured in TV hits YellowstoneLandmanSpecial Ops: LionessFire Country, and the 2024 summer blockbuster Twisters.

Fresh off major festival stages including Bonnaroo, Boston Calling, ACL, Stagecoach, and Lollapalooza, and tours with Koe Wetzel, Dierks Bentley, The Red Clay Strays, and Shane Smith & The Saints, Usrey is now headlining his own Bad Love Tour. He comes to BHSS riding the momentum of his highly anticipated sophomore album These Days (produced by Dave Cobb), released July 11 on Atlantic Records.

Opening the show is Kenny Feidler, the South Dakota artist who built a nationwide following the hard way—one rodeo arena, two-lane highway, and 60,000 miles at a time. Blending raw songwriting with a fierce rock ’n’ roll band, Feidler has earned a reputation for songs that cut deep, connect instantly, and never compromise authenticity. With a catalog spanning over a decade—including his Live at Buck’s 34-track album and the upcoming project The Western Tragedy—Feidler embodies the grit and independence that define the West.

“This concert is pure BHSS energy,” said Jill Delay, Marketing & Vendor Manager, Central States Fair, Inc. “Tanner brings the storytelling. Kenny brings the fire. Together, they’re delivering a night that fans will be talking about long after the Stock Show dust settles.”
