RCPD Raid Rapid City Home, Recovering Methamphetamine In Continuing Investigation

RAPID CITY, SD — Yesterday at 7:50pm police arrived with a warrant and searched a home located at 330 E. Adams Street, following an ongoing investigation in which the residence was involved.

According to a statement by the RCPD, two residents were found within, who were detained without incident. One was quickly identified as 41-year-old Trevor Chipps of Rapid City, while the other remains anonymous. “The subsequent search of the apartment turned up various baggies containing a substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine. Police also located a number of items of associated drug paraphernalia,” said RCPD Community Relations Officer Brendyn Medina in his report on the incident.

Following these discoveries, Chipps was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Parole Hold, and the aforementioned Warrant.
