STURGIS, S.D. – Loud American Sturgis announced this morning that it will host a free spaghetti feed, November 10 to support residents impacted by food insecurity and to promote community fellowship.

The event, Monday night, from 5-7:30PM, comes in response to financial challenges facing numerous residents, particularly those impacted by potential delays or reductions in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). The longtime downtown Sturgis restaurant and live music venue stressed, however, that the spaghetti feed is open to everyone, as a way to show support for one another during a difficult time.

“We want to help in the best way we know how, by sharing a meal together,” commented Taryn Edlund, Vice President at The HomeSlice Group, owner of Loud American Sturgis. “Everyone is invited and welcome, whether you have been impacted by the government shutdown, find yourself on a tight budget, just want some good company, or simply think a big plate of spaghetti sounds good. There’s no cost and no catch.”

While donations are not expected, if anyone feels moved to give, 100% of donations will go to support the Kiwanis Food Pantry in Sturgis.  “Come hungry. Leave with a full belly and a full heart,” concluded Edlund.  Loud American Sturgis has operated on the famous Sturgis Main Street since 2001.

Disclosure: The Loud American in Sturgis is owned by the HomeSlice Group, the parent company of The Rapid City Post.
